Three St Andrews players have advanced to the area finals of national championships.
Sam Stocker, already qualified in the under-25 singles, now joins his dad, Lee Stocker, and Becky McMillan in the Champion of Champions area finals.
McMillan, playing at home, edged out Clevedon's Imogen Cracknell 21-17 with decisive bowls in the final two ends.
She is set to face Westlecot's Lucy Smith in the area final at a neutral venue.
Lee Stocker triumphed in a tight contest against Thornbury's James Wood, winning by three points.
His next opponent will be Bristol's Harry Tinker.
The Stockers and Craig Walker secured a comfortable 23-4 away victory against a Clevedon team.
Meanwhile, Dan Swift, alongside Si and Jack Angove, won 23-11 away to Bristol.
The Angove brothers also beat Clevedon's Fuidge twins.
However, the Saints faced setbacks in team games.
Both of their teams were defeated in the national over-60 double rink competition.
A depleted team also suffered a loss against Isle of Wedmore in their first Somerset County League game of the season.
The Saints aim for improvement on Saturday, with the women facing North Wilts in the regional semi-final of the national Yetton Plate and the men playing against Westlecot in the national Denny Cup.
