A late equaliser from striker Reuben Reid salvaged a point for the Seagulls in their match with Weymouth on Tuesday night.
Manager Scott Bartlett made four changes from the Bristol Rovers match with Sam Pearson, Marley Rose, Ollie Chamberlain and Brandon Bak all coming in for Jordan Bastin, Dylan Kadji, Emelyn Lewis and Reuben Reid. Luke Coulson was named captain.
Weymouth named former Weston loanee goalkeeper Will Buse in their line up.
The visitors started brightly with a few early shots in the first three minutes but at the other end Marley Rose was looking a threat.
Leo Hamblin had an opportunity for Weymouth on the half hour but scuffed his shot wide, five minutes later Ollie Chamberlain drove a shot over the bar from 30 yards for Weston.
Weymouth would go on to hit the under side of the bar, but it remained 0-0 at half time.
The visitors started the second half in much the same vein with substitute O’Connell firing over on the volley.
Weymouth seemed the more likely to open the scoring and that proved true when Jayden Bartolo won the ball 25 yards out and sent a shot into the top corner,
But two minutes from time Rueben Reid who had come on as a substitute earlier grabbed the equaliser.
