A much-changed Wrington Redhill emerged victorious over Broad Plain Reserves in the cup.

The team won 4-1 against the Bristol Suburban League's top division side.

Manager Scott Campbell opted to rest some of the more familiar faces, instead providing an opportunity for less experienced squad members.

Young goalkeeper Harvey Campbell was tested 15 minutes in when Broad Plain's Blake Butt attempted a long-range strike.

Campbell, however, dealt with it calmly, palming it into the air before catching it.

The first half was evenly contested until a mix-up between Wrington Redhill’s defenders and Campbell handed the ball to Butt, who slotted it into the empty net, giving the visitors a 1-0 lead at half-time.

10 minutes into the second half, a cross into Broad Plain's box was won by Jack English and set up for Josh Skuse, who equalised for Wrington Redhill.

English was again instrumental in the second goal, as he laid a cross into the path of Jake Marshman, who scored from close range.

His clever footwork on the edge of the box saw him beat goalkeeper Sam Jones from 12 yards.

The fourth goal came towards the end of the game when a Connor Harding James header was saved by Jones, but the rebound fell to Hutchings, who scored at the near post.

Supporters named Jake Marshman as Man of the Match.
