Clarence Bowling Club's men's team emerged victorious in two nail-biting games against Portishead and Chew Stoke this week, while the women's team just lost out to Ashcombe.
In the men's game against Chew Stoke, the tightest match was played by Rob Skudder, Tony Mannion, and skip Allan Cord.
All was square after 12-ends, while the next three-ends saw Mr Cord's men go four up.
The 16th, and a dramatic three, was dropped by Clarence, followed by a single on the penultimate end, tied.
Mr Cord's team held their nerve and took a single, and the match, on the final end.
The Somerset County League clash with Chew Stoke was won by a razor-thin margin, with Clarence eking out a 56-55 victory.
Barry Benn, Mac Mellow, and skip Gordon Owen were eight-shots down after just three-ends, but they slowly recovered and were all square by the eleventh.
They were six up by the 19th, then dropped four-shots on the final two-ends, scraping home by two.
Meanwhile, the Clarence Ladies suffered a narrow 44-47 defeat against Ashcombe in an away match of the NSTL.
A winning rink came from Angie Skudder and Jan Anning, skipped by Carol Edlin.
