MEMBERS of a community, not-for-profit boxing gym will represent Team England at a World Championship in Germany.
Tuff House Gym, based in Weston-super-Mare, will participate, alongside Weston Warriors at the ICO World Championships in Frankfurt in October.
The gym is now fundraising to raise money towards their travel and accommodation costs.
A spokesperson for Tuff House said: “As a group of volunteers, we are happy to give our time to both adults and children in our local area to give them their chance of succeeding in the sport of boxing.
“We are also home to Weston’s number one kickboxing academy, Weston Warriors.
“Due to the hard work and dedication of students from both Tuff House and Weston Warriors, we have been selected to represent Team England at the ICO World Championships in Frankfurt, Germany, from 10th – 14th October.
“We have Kamil Chodorowski (age 12), Todd Hoyle (age 14), Riley Clark (age 13), India Huburn (age 13) and Coach of Weston Warriors, Ethan Chew, (age 23).
“Both coaches, Lee Wall of Tuff House Gym and Ethan Chew of Weston Warriors have been working hard with the students in the months leading up to selection and are now in preparation to compete at the world championships.
“Both are extremely proud of the achievements.
“Ethan has been working extremely hard, as in addition to coaching, he has also been selected to represent Team England.
“If you would like to support our students with expenses towards their travel, accommodation, etc, then please head to our GoFundMe page, https://gofund.me/573daf7d
“Any help, big or small, would be greatly appreciated.”
