The annual Bob Flay Trophy took place at Winscombe Bowling Club in sunny conditions.
The popular ladies pairs, two woods competition saw Barbara Smart and Jen Atkinson leading from the start.
They were closely followed by Chrissie Bryant and Jane Bolton, and Angela Bougourd and Sue Hares rounded off the top three positions.
Ladies' captain Margaret Howell presented the trophy on behalf of Mo Flay, the wife of former pavilion manager Bob Flay, who instituted this competition, as Mrs Flay was unfortunately unable to attend this year.
In other club news, the A team scored an impressive away victory against Bloomfield 'A' in the Somerset County League.
A score of 64-53 overall was bolstered by a 13-shot win on Mike Curtis’ rink.
The team's performance secured an additional 10 points, contributing to a very strong season.
In contrast, the B team battled hard in their match against league leaders Clevedon 'B', narrowly losing by just three shots with a final score of 56-59.
Despite their loss, the team’s efforts were commendable with one rink winning by one shot and another drawing.
