A packed week of bowls matches saw Victoria's teams notch up a mix of victories, losses, and uncertain draws.

The highlight was the ladies' semi-final win against St Andrews, putting them through to a much-anticipated Southey Cup final.

On Tuesday, Victoria's men's team unfortunately fell at the semi-final hurdle of the Wedmore Plate.

Despite a hard-fought match against Ashcombe, The Vic ultimately lost by eight shots.

However, the D Nutt, D Carpenter, D Wheatley and P Sloman rink shone, pulling off a major 21-09 win.

On the women's front, the Victoria Ladies shone against Portishead, sweeping the match 54-34.

Standout players S Sokol, P Turner and N Whyte racked up an extraordinary 28-08 win.

Things went even better on Wednesday, with the Victoria Saxons clinching a sweet 16-4 victory over Yatton.

In a gruelling match, C Heal, R Bromet, and K Burgess managed a fantastic 31-12 win, while A Bradley, Carmine, and R Crawford mirrored the winning margin with their 26-07 score.

On Thursday, it wasn't so rosy for the Vikings against Portishead, who dropped the game by ten shots despite their best efforts.

There was some solace with notable wins from D Fairhurst, G Robbins, G Barlow at 29-15 and the trio of J Smart, L Kelly and D Hubbard at 21-12.

Saturday saw the C team storm to a serious 81-46 win against Yatton, with J Smart, R Stallard, G Barlow and D Hubbard sealing a 37-07 win while their team-mates R Stone, M Willets, L Kelly and G Frost scored an impressive 33-10.

The B team quashed all relegation worries with a comfortable 10-2 win against Nailsea courtesy of the W Harrison, Carmine, R Crawford and J Newman foursome's 27-15 victory.

The A team barely scratched a point from their visit to Clevedon, achieving a high-scoring 24-24 draw thanks to M Cooper, C Gazzard, P Owen and A Bradley.

A riveting Saturday match saw the Vic Ladies push past St Andrews in the Southey Cup semi-final.

K Wilson, J Hartree, and F Waters pulled off a magnificent fightback with a 17-15 victory, taking their team to the final.

Another triumph on Sunday saw The Vic defeat Wedmore in the Four Dimensions, aided particularly by D Nutt and D Wheatley whose 27-08 win made a significant difference.
