Clarence Bowling Club has won two Somerset County League matches at the weekend, defeating Isle of Wedmore B and Congresbury.
The club's men's team triumphed in a nail-biting match, winning by six shots.
The rousing success came largely thanks to star players Martin Ford, Mike Samways and Derek James, alongside skip Gordon Leigh, who pulled out a 12-shot lead by the 15th end.
Despite a strong rallying effort from Wedmore, Leigh's team took a seven-shot victory.
Less than 24 hours later, Clarence Ladies clinched another victory against Congresbury.
The ladies' game resulted in a win, a loss and one draw, but the superior shot difference was enough for Clarence Ladies to take the victory.
The winning rink, led by skip Christine Hooper, included standout performances from Kay Wray and Val Mellow.
After just four ends, the ladies surged ahead with an 11-shot lead and maintained dominance throughout the match, finishing with a 20-shot victory.
The hard-fought win makes this a weekend to remember for the Clarence teams.
