Weston Town FC won their second cup final in four days on Tuesday night after beating Haywood Village 3-0 to lift the Weston and District League Attwell Shield.
The win follows Town’s 1-0 victory over West Wick in the Alan Cumner Hospital Cup final just three days prior.
A headed goal from man-of-the-match Daniel Berry in the first game was enough to take Town past West Wick and finishes from Harrison Campbell, Luke Weeks and Christian Jones saw Weston Town comfortably beat Haywood Village to their second in a flurry of trophies to end the season.
Town also made the final of the Somerset Junior Cup last month, but lost 3-1 to Wells City ‘A’, after a brilliant season that has seen them reach three cup finals.
They are also still within a chance of lifting the Division 1 trophy and completing a historic treble for the club as they sit six points and two games off league leaders Isle of Wedmore, who have completed their games for the season and have an inferior goal difference.
Weston Town next play away to Portishead Town ‘A’ on May 18th in their penultimate league game of a great season.
