It was a monstrous last week for teams in the Weston and District football league with 18 fixtures across the four divisions, including two cup finals.
Weston Town FC won their first final of the season in the Alan Cumner Memorial Hospital Cup after beating West Wick 1-0.
In the Charity Cup Final St George Easton-in-Gordano beat Sporting Weston Reserves 1-0 to lift the trophy.
In Division One, Weston Town continued their title chase with a 4-0 victory over Congresbury Reserves, as league leaders Isle of Wedmore finished their season with a 6-2 win over Churchill Club 70.
Uphill Castle Reserves recorded a 5-1 win over Swiss Valley Rangers as Portishead Town ‘A’ also beat Congresbury Reserves 2-0.
Division Two saw six games; Axbridge United beat Worle Rangers Reserves 4-1, who then in turn beat Sporting Weston Reserves 5-4.
Berrow and Haywood Village, and Hutton Reserves and Clevedon United ‘A’ played out goalless draws whilst Selkirk United lost 8-0 to St George E-in-G and then 7-0 to Haywood Village.
Division Three only saw St Geroge E-in-G lose 3-2 to Nailsea AFC.
In Division Four, Highburn Athletic beat Weston Crusaders 3-1 and Shipham 5-0, Banwell ‘A’ beat Wrole Rangers ‘A’ 3-0, Weston Celtic won 5-1 against Burnham United ‘A’, and the Crusaders beat Winscombe Reserves 5-1.
