Two nett 65's from Les Byrne and Steve Mason led the way in Saturday's sunshine for the May Medal.
Both were returned later in the day with the first one coming from Byrne who, armed with a new putter, secured a win in Division Three.
The second one came from the final group off the course and belonged to Mason who took the Division Two honours.
Both Barry Roe in the second flight and Dan Harper in Division Three saw their nett 66's relegated into second place finishes.
Alan Eboe also posted a nett 66 but had to settle for third behind Harper on countback while Chris Fairchild was placed third in the middle Division with his 67.
In Division One it was a maiden Brean win for Simon Mehrlich.
Playing in his first event since joining the club the seven handicapper posted a nett 67 to win Division One by one from Club Captain Dan Broom. Dave Porter was third on 69.
Sunday's Super Series was contested in even more warm weather and scoring heated up nicely as well.
The best card of the day came from Kevin Hollyhead who returned 44 points to take the overall win and top spot in Division Two. His scorecard also contained the only twos of the day as well.
He posted one at the par three 7th, and then another three holes later at the par four 10th where he holed out with a nine iron for an eagle.
He was three clear of the Divisional runner up in Keith Sargeant who put some recent poor form behind him with an impressive 41 point score.
In the top-flight Tony Richards led the way. He racked up 42 stableford points to take second overall behind Hollyhead and with it he maintained his lead in the points table after 7 events.
Martin Kennelly and Kevin Griffiths both scored 40 points with Kennelly securing second spot with the better back nine.
The month of May started just as April had finished on the competition front for the Seniors with the Monthly Medal.
On the first Tuesday of the month a good turnout of Senior members contested the event and it was a close run affair too with a three way countback needed to decide the finishing order of the leading trio.
Taking the victory on the day courtesy of his superior back nine was Mike Allen.
His nett 69 had the best of the homeward run returns with Barry Roe taking the runners up spot.
Andrew Smallwood had to settle for third with the final 69 scored on the day.
Just a single two was scored as well so it proved to be a healthy payout for Mike Hurman as a reward for his birdie at the 4th.
Seven days earlier the Seniors had their match washed out due to an overnight deluge of rain.
What a difference a week makes though, as this week they entertained Cannington Seniors on a glorious warm sunny day with the course in superb condition.
The home team enjoyed a comfortable win by 5 games to 1 before enjoying an excellent post-match meal in the Country Club.
Next week they hit the road as they travel to Taunton to face Vivary Park.
Brean's Jez Clift made a superb debut in the Somerset Golf Union Seniors County Championship at Oake Manor on Friday.
Having only just recently reached the age to qualify the 'youngster' navigated the Taunton venue in 73 strokes and ended two strokes behind the leading duo who then battled it out in a playoff.
His excellent performance was duly noted by the County Officials though and the Brean man will likely now be on their radar for future fixtures.
