After last week’s 1-0 victory Wrington Redhill face Ilminster Town on Saturday in their final bid for survival in the Premier Division of the Somerset County League.
The goal in the previous game came courtesy of a sensational Reece Ferguson-Obamwonyi freekick that curled into the top corner, and Wrington will be needing some more of that magic in their fixture against Ilminster.
Wrington are currently 15th and second from bottom on 27 points, only Keynsham sit above them in the drop zone on 29 points but have played all their games, so Wrington know a win will pull them ahead.
The Redskins must now win against Ilminster and then await the result of Worle’s last league game on Saturday.
Ilminster come into game on mixed form having won two and lost two in their last four games and may not be as motivated as Wrington having already secured their stay in the Premier Division.
Whatever the outcome there has certainly been a heroic effort to avoid the drop from the Wrington Redhill squad having won five of their last nine, when only a few weeks ago relegation looked a certain fate.
They face Ilminster away on May 11th, kick off 3:00pm.
