Uphill Castle have confirmed their safety in the Premier Division of the Somerset County League after a 3-1 win over Chilcompton Sports on Saturday afternoon.
It was an impressive win for Castle over a team who have secured second place this season and had also beaten them 7-1 in the reverse fixture just two weeks before.
This time though they were ready, a brace from Oli Wilcox and Jack Askins adding his 21st goal of the season secured the three points for the Weston team, as well as guaranteeing their safety in the division.
The win means Castle sit the highest in the table of the three Weston based clubs in the division and their win on the weekend means they are now in 10th place on 32 points, mathematically safe.
After a season that has seen some big losses and some even bigger wins for Castle they are guaranteed to finish ahead of Keynsham, Clutton and local rivals Wrington Redhill.
They now face league champions Mendip Broadwalk in their last league game this Saturday, a tough task but one they will be much more comfortable with given their recent victories.
