The rain got the better of the competitions for most of the week at Wedmore but at least the weekend stableford took place, albeit reduced to 15 holes to avoid the slippery slopes.
The scoring was pretty good, especially given the conditions. Steve Dowden led the way, scoring 36 points to win Division 1 by a single point from Pete Brown with Moly McMillan a further shot back in third place.
Jon Raeside was another to score 36 points, winning Division 2 by two points from Paul Russell with Steve Major taking third place on 31. Closest finish came in Division 3 with Nigel Day finishing on 35, which put him just one ahead of the next three players.
Countback was required to sort out the places, giving second place to Darren Hayward with Chris Manville third and Chris Mckinley in fourth. Not many Ladies played this week with Abi Moore winning on a more than respectable 30 points ahead of Jane Prosser and Trish Major.
