Uhlsport Somerset Premier Division: Uphill Castle 2-1 Clevedon United
Uphill Castle earned a vital win at home on Saturday against Clevedon United in the Uhlsport Somerset Premier Division.
The result takes Uphill to 13th in the league table and out of the relegation zone on goal difference.
In the first half Uphill Castle were in control and went in front through a goal from Cam Steer.
Then in the second period Jack Askins scored a second goal for his side and they were looking strong at 2-0 up.
Clevedon United did pull a goal back but the hosts held on to take the three points.
Man of the match went to Cam Steer for a lively wingers performance which could have seen him have a couple more.
The club said: "A strong performance through out and a goal in each half put the boys 2-0 up. After conceding with 20 minutes to go the lads hung on for a big 3 points."
