Conditions were far from easy in the third round of the Seniors Winter Stableford League at Wedmore Golf Club.
With players able to choose their best three rounds out of four, nothing has been decided yet but Trevor Guy has certainly got one hand on the trophy. This week he added 37 points to his previous two rounds both of 41, which gives him an impressive total of 119, nine ahead of his nearest rival.
Best score of the day came from Barry Royal, winning Division 3 on 38. Trevor Guy’s score was best in Division 2, while Kevin Vaux won on 32 in Division 1.
The Ladies are still sticking to just nine holes and this week played a greensomes with Janet Cornish and Ronnie Follenfant showing the way with 18 points. This put them two clear of Karen Clark and Jennifer Fell, with Maggie Dommett and Vera Ireland taking third place on 15.
