Weston-super-Mare Hockey Club Men recorded victory by six goals for the second week running with a 7-1 win against Mendip in Concorde 1 last Saturday.
After last week's 6-0 win against Bath Buccaneers sixes, Weston headed into the game full of confidence and started strongly.
Their dominance saw CJ Neate break the deadlock with the first goal to give them momentum.
Not long after the first goal, Alex Leeks doubled Weston's to score for the second game running and a third duly arrived before half-time from Chris Penney.
Weston increased their lead after the break after short passes and quick movement by Oliver Standeven led to him slotting away the fourth goal with ease.
A lucky reverse turned chip brought Mendip a consolation goal but the momentum never shifted and Weston made it five through Penney's second.
Soon after, Weston's effective attacking play led to a clean finish by Elliot Wood to extend their lead.
And following a well-worked routine, James Moseley slotted the ball right past the runners culminating in a deflection goal by Alex Leeks.
Overall, Weston controlled the speed of the game, remaining composed and consistent throughout led to a well-deserved victory.
