Weston Hockey Club men were left to rue their poor mistakes as they were beaten 3-1 by Old Bristolians Thirds in their latest Concorde 1 encounter last Saturday.
Weston gave Old Bristolians two cheap goals early in the game to go 2-0 down.
The back five of Cam Slater, Ross Harrington, Jacob Dale, George Davis and Matt Kearsey moved the ball around the back more and down the channels allowing the forwards of Ali Mead, Alex Leeks and Captain Jack Pitt to get into good areas, without being able to make anything of it.
The midfield of Nick Bily and Callum Neate were forced to work hard to press the attacking Old Bristolian players.
Coach Sam Neate, looking to pull a few tactical changes in players and formation to get Weston back into the game.
Substitutes Rob Mount, James Leeks, Kev Collins and Ben Morgan rotated across the pitch to create an opportunity.
Old Bristolians scored another goal leaving goalkeeper Tom Fox undeservedly picking the ball out the goal again.
Weston managed a goal back after Alex Leeks found Pitt to score in trademark fashion but the damage was already done.
Weston return to action this Saturday when they welcome Team Bath Buccaneers to Priory School at 1:30pm.
