Weston-super-Mare Hockey Club have announced their annual club day is returning this Saturday.
The free event will run between 11:30am and 2:45pm at Priory School and is open to anyone of any age.
The club will be running opportunities for people to play the sport and receive coaching as well as watch both the men and ladies play.
Weston men’s newly appointed captain Jack Pitt is encouraging people to come down regardless if they have played hockey or not.
“Club day is all about watching some hockey, trying some hockey and having fun,” said Pitt.
“We want to welcome anyone and everyone to come and have a go at a sport you may not have tried before or haven’t played for some time.
“Hockey isn’t a sport like football or rugby where you can go to a local field and give it a go, so days like this really allow you to try something new and exciting.”
