Weston-super-Mare Amateur Boxing Club ended their season on a high with a win in their last bout of the season recently.
Abdou Aziz Coker won his fight against a fast and persistent opponent in Kian Foley from Wells ABC with his power was too much for him ending the fight with a second round stoppage.
Coker now has two wins and two defeats from his four bouts with both wins being stoppages.
Boxing Coaches Ross Grindrod and Carl Fox celebrated the victory with Coker and Fox said: "Abs built on experience gained in his previous three bouts and produced a more composed but still powerful performance.
"He applied non-stop pressure on his opponent and worked well at close range without crowding his own work. Abs displayed great head movement to get into positions where he does his best work.
Coker received boxer of the month from the club for his wonderful performance in competition and bringing on others around him.
Fellow members Sydney Davey and Aston Johnson were awarded with improved certificates by the club recently.
Davey was recognised for making improvement in all areas, listening and competing all drills and Johnson received his award for completing his target of two laps and leading others to do the same
