Yatwell travelled to Cornwall only to be beaten 41-27 by Helston after both sides put on a game of rugby that kept a large and vocal crowd highly entertained throughout recently.

Helston opened the scoring before Yatwell centre Ned Hill and fly-half Charlie Hayett combined brilliantly to split Helston's defence open with Hayett taking the ball back to score a great try in the corner.

Helston scored twice in quick succession before Yatwell's Hill cut straight through the defence and ran half the pitch to score under the posts to make it 17-12 in favour of Helston at half-time.

Yatwell started the second half well with Hayett going over in the corner before Helston responded straight away by crashing over in the corner.

Yatwell then scored through Mo Sayce, who had the pace to go round the outside and score.

Helston responded with a try of their own in the corner before Yatwell's Scott Waters sprinted from his own 10-metre line and rounded the Helston defence to score in the far corner.

With the scores now at Yatwell 27 Helston 31 it was all to play for in the last few minutes. Unfortunately, Helston scored a penalty before they finished as they started with a surging drive over the line to finish the game as winners.
