Manager Scott Bartlett says Weston are expecting a 'really hard game' at Basingstoke Town in the FA Cup this Saturday.
The Seagulls will go into the game at the Winklebury Sports Complex unbeaten after a strong start to the Southern League Premier South season.
They currently top the table with five wins and one draw from their first six games.
But Bartlett says their good form in the league 'counts for nothing' and they will go into their encounter with the Stoke the same way they have done all games this season.
“(It will be a) really hard game, being away in the FA Cup is always a challenge and we know league form counts for nothing,” he told Weston Mercury Sport.
“We will need to be at full strength so we will be approaching it the same as we have all the other games this season.
“We’ve had them watched so we will have something to go on. They are a good side and did well last season.
“We can’t look any further than the first game but of course it’s a great competition everyone dreams of doing well in.”
Bartlett hailed the partnership of Marlon Jackson and Reuben Reid which has given his side 'another dimension' to their play.
Reid grabbed his third goal of the season in the 4-1 win at Plymouth Parkway on Monday.
Callum Rose levelled the scores before Will Tunnicliff restored Weston’s lead just before half-time.
Second-half goals from Elis Watts and a penalty from Dayle Grubb helped the Seagulls record their fifth win in a row.
Although pleased Bartlett said his side are not letting their good form run away from them and hailed the character of his team to come away from Devon with three more points.
“The players have carried on from last season, we haven't changed much but the partnership of Reuben and Marlon has given us another dimension to our play,” he added.
“It’s a great start to the season but football bites hard when you least expect it so we are not getting carried away.
“We started well and finished the first half well but there was elements of our play in the middle of the first half that wasn’t great.
“However, we don’t play alone and we saw the best version of Plymouth Parkway in that period so we had to dig in and regroup. The lads did this very well and a potentially difficult afternoon ended up a comfortable win."
