England ladies’ captain Charlotte Edwards led a training session for girls at Weston Cricket Club.
CHARLOTTE Edwards, England Ladies Cricket captain, bowled along to Weston Cricket Club to coach the Willows team.
Having led a girls’ cricket training session for an hour with Caroline Atkins, who has responsibility for ladies and girls’ cricket for Somerset, they gave the girls the chance to throw some questions.
The girls found out that Charlotte had played football, tennis, hockey, before focusing on cricket. Her home club is Ramsey CC. She has hit more than 6,000 runs for England. She is the most capped ladies player and played for England Under-19s when she was 12.
Autographed photos of the ladies’ Ashes team were given out to finish the Q&A session, before the girls had their pictures taken with Charlotte and Caroline.
