A heart dissection, rocket displays and fire bubbles were all on show at Broadoak school’s open day.
Broadoak Mathematics and Computing College hosted an open event where each subject was showcased.
Maths puzzles were on offer while the English department had a time machine theme going through the ages with literature.
The science department was home to eye-catching displays using fire and a heart dissection, while one geography classroom was transformed into a disaster zone with lighting and smoke.
There were performances from the school’s drama students, while the school’s head boy and head girl, Dylan and Maddie, began the evening with speeches.
The school’s headteacher Kathleen McGillycuddy said: “We are so proud of our young people and the talent and skill on display this evening. They were wonderful ambassadors for themselves, us and their families.”
