The following court cases were heard at North Somerset Courthouse from May 9-16.

* Steven Careslade, Drove Road, Weston (34). Theft: Fined £60 and ordered to pay £58.13 compensation, £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

* Ivan Dimanov, Moorelands Road, Langford (21). Assault: community order and ordered to pay £50 compensation, £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

* Jade Toussaint, Churchill Road, Weston (27). Assault police constable: community order and ordered to pay £100 compensation, £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

* Lee Bailey, Park Road, Congresbury (26). Speeding: disqualified from driving for six months, fined £660 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £66 victim surcharge.

* Paul Barton, Silverberry Road, Worle (41). Three counts of theft: Fined £60 and ordered to pay £60 compensation, £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

* James Hook, Alfred Street, Weston (41): Use of threatening words or behaviour: Fined £40 and ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge.

* Christopher Bracey, Grenville Avenue, Locking (26). Failure to provide a breathalyser sample: disqualified from driving for 40 months, community order and ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge. Driving without valid insurance and use of threatening words or behaviour: No separate penalty. Possession of class B drug: community order.

* Brodie Cottrell, Monkton Avenue, Weston (23). Criminal damage and three counts of assault: community order and ordered to pay £85 costs.

* Kelly Hampson, Wilton Gardens, Weston (35). Criminal damage: Fined £90 and ordered to pay £100 compensation and £30 victim surcharge.

* Daniel Jackson, Gordon Road, Weston (39). Criminal damage and two counts of assault: community order and ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

* Lewis Tynan, Clifton Road, Weston (26). Possession of counterfeit notes: two-week suspended prison sentence and ordered to pay £115 victim surcharge. Possession of class A drug: four-week suspended prison sentence (consecutive).

* Martin Fey, Gooseham Mead, Congresbury (58). Speeding: six penalty points, fined £301 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

* Paul Misson, Locking Road, Milton (54). Two counts of theft: community order and ordered to pay £288.40.

* Philip Lock, Parsonage Road, Burnham (38). Fail to identify driver guilty of an offence: disqualified from driving for 24 months, fined £180 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

* Jamie Stephens, Ringstone, West Huntspill (47). Drink-driving: disqualified from driving for 20 months, fined £500 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £50 victim surcharge.
