The following court cases were heard at North Somerset Courthouse from August 21 to September 3.

* Gregory Best, Swiss Road, Weston (51). Two counts of theft: 14-day suspended sentence and ordered to pay £192 compensation. Possession of bladed article in public place: three-month suspended prison sentence.

* Cezary Bernacki, Orchard Street, Weston (30). Speeding: six penalty points, fined £543 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £54 victim surcharge.

* Connor Beer, Coleridge Road, Weston (20). Dangerous motorcycle driving: disqualified from driving for one year and ordered to pay £170 costs and £85 victim surcharge. Driving without valid insurance: no separate penalty.

* Thomas Bellamy, Madam Lane, Worle (32). Assault causing actual bodily harm: community order and ordered to pay £2,000 compensation, £135 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

* Andrew Moore, Boulevard, Weston (40). Seven counts of theft: one-month suspended prison sentence and ordered to pay £115 victim surcharge.

* Ben Whitcher, Milton Road, Milton (20). Possession of bladed article in public place: four-month suspended prison sentence and ordered to pay £85 costs and £115 victim surcharge.

* Kaloyan Yordanov, West Street, Weston (31). Drink-driving: disqualified from driving for 17 months, fined £253 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. Driving without valid insurance: fined £253.

* Ari Abdullah, Yardley Way, Weston. Possession of counterfeit tobacco: community order and ordered to pay £1,500 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

* Demi-Lee Wilson, Grange Farm Road, Yatton (23). Harassment: community order, restraining order and ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

* Stefan Russ, Partridge Close, Weston (27). Speeding: three penalty points, fined £100 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

* Kevin Townsend, Walnut Close, Cheddar (46). Driving without valid insurance: disqualified from driving for six months, fined £300 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. Driving without valid licence: fined £100.

* Joshua King, Ashcombe Park Road, Weston (21). Failure to identify driver after accusation of an offence: six penalty points, fined £660 and ordered to pay £620 costs and £66.02 victim surcharge.

* Justin Lawton, no fixed abode, (45). Failure to provide breathalyser sample: disqualified from driving for 24 months, community order and ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

* Sacha Mervyn Davidson, Sunnyside Road, Weston (44). Trespassing and possession of class A drug: community order, fined £50 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

* Tyler Kibby, Sunnyside Road, Weston (28). Assault causing actual bodily harm: community order and ordered to pay £200 compensation and £85 victim surcharge.

* Terrence Kingston, Ullswater Close, Weston (65). Speeding: three penalty points, fined £40 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.
