The following cases were heard at North Somerset Courthouse from September 24 to October 3.

* Joshua Neale, Crookes Lane, Kewstoke (27). Assault: community order and ordered to pay £234 compensation.

* Mark Hurse, Beachwood, Locking (60). Threatening behaviour, assault and breach of restraining order: community order, restraining order and ordered to pay £1,160 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

* Jake Pittman, Sunnyside Road, Weston (21). Failed to stop after accident: six penalty points, community order and ordered to pay £500 costs and £85 victim surcharge. Driving without valid insurance: no separate penalty.

* Joshua Fairless, no fixed abode (18). Theft: two-week suspended sentence and ordered to pay £115 victim surcharge. Possession of bladed article in public place: 16-week suspended sentence.

* Peter Hughes, Rhodyate Lane, Cleeve (46). Possession of class B drug: fined £40. Driving without valid insurance: six penalty points, fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. Driving without valid licence: fined £40.

* Ben Gregory, Court Close, St Georges (28). Drunk and disorderly: fined £40 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

* James Kelly, Grove Park Road, Weston (40). Two counts of theft: community order and ordered to pay £224 compensation and £25 victim surcharge.

* Loren Sayers, Glebe Road, Weston (45). Three counts of theft: community order and ordered to pay £85 compensation.

* Kiernan Slocombe, Byron Road, Weston (19). Two counts of driving while disqualified: 12-week suspended sentence, disqualified from driving for 24 months and ordered to pay £85 costs and £115 victim surcharge. Driving without valid insurance: no separate penalty.

* Dale Pountney, Severn Road, Weston (21). Assault: community order and ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

* Adam Green, Ashcombe Road, Weston (20). Possession of bladed article in public place: four-month sentence. Theft: no separate penalty. Two counts of assault: one-month suspended sentences (concurrent) and ordered to pay £120 compensation.

* Tracy Morton, Willow Close, St Georges (53). Drink-driving: disqualified from driving for 16 months, fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. Assault police constable: fined £80 and ordered to pay £50 compensation.

* William Smith, Old Banwell Road, Locking (18). Drink-driving: disqualified from driving for 12 months, fined £80 and ordered to pay £80 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

* Dean Strickland, Manilla Crescent, Weston (36). Threatening behaviour: 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 costs and £20 victim surcharge.

* Gary Maughan, Greenfields Way, Weston (25). Threatening behaviour: disqualified from driving for six months, 12-week prison sentence and ordered to pay £500 compensation.

* Kimberley Granger, Cabot Way, Worle (31). Two counts of theft, threatening behaviour and assault: community order and ordered to pay £22 compensation. Driving without valid insurance or licence: no separate penalty.

* Graeme Cox, Windermere Avenue, Weston (40). Criminal damage: community order, restraining order and ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.
