The operators of a prominent Weston-super-Mare restaurant are quitting after less than a year of trading, it has been confirmed.
Salvatore’s restaurant and ice cream parlour is moving out of the former Tutto building in Princess Royal Square, the Mercury can reveal.
Puxton Park leases the Beach Road building to Salvatore’s and park manager Alistair Mead confirmed the Italian restaurant is moving out of the building.
Salvatore’s is the second Italian restaurant to close at the £1.8million building in just 12 months following its predecessor Tutto.
The building was bought by Puxton Park’s owners and opened as Tutto restaurant in 2013, but it closed last year.
Bristol-based restaurateurs Salvatore’s then took over the building and opened in May last year.
When the building was listed last year through agents Hartnell Taylor Cook the annual rent was quoted at £110,000 with business rates of £27,715.
