Ray Monelle, has owned the business for 34 years with his wife Andrea.

He said: “I recognise I needed to have a shop re-fit and everything had to be changed; floors, ceiling, electrics, so I thought if I am doing that then you have to go the whole hog. You have to increase your offering to the public these days.”

NFRN chief executive, Paul Baxter, said: “We provide all the support systems and the advice retailers need to run the business. We provide legal cover and financial support.

“We have now got new technology which will cut his running costs in half.”
