THE Marine Lake in Weston-super-Mare will be closed temporarily next week.
The lake will be closed from three days, starting from 8am on Monday, December 2.
The marine is due to reopen on the morning of Thursday, December 5, allowing for expected high tides to overtop the causeway and refill the lake.
A spokesperson for Weston Seafront said: “We’re draining the lake to take sediment samples.
“We have to periodically send samples for analysis to keep our dredging license valid throughout its term.
“No dredging will be taking place while the lake is temporarily closed, and we don’t have further dredging planned at this point.”
