THE Weston Rotary has enjoyed a busy start to November.
The group welcomed Military Nurse Anji Scofield to speak at their meeting, where she shared her experiences whilst wearing Princess Mary's Royal Air Force Nursing Service uniform.
This was followed by Weston Rotary’s Christmas Charities Fayre held at the Sovereign, when thirty or so of the smaller, local charities were provided with a platform to reach a wider audience.
Mayor John Crockford-Hawley, together with Dan Aldridge, Weston’s recently elected MP, joined us to open the event, then gave generously of their time visiting each stall holder, providing encouragement and thanking them for what they achieve in the local community.
President Helen then laid a wreath of Remembrance on behalf of the club in Grove Park the following day.
