Osteopathy is a system of diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of medical conditions. It works with the structure and function of the body and is based on the principle that the well-being of an individual depends on the skeleton, muscles, ligaments, and connective tissues functioning smoothly together.

"Our patients include the young, older people, manual workers, office professionals, pregnant women, and sportspeople. We regularly treat people with long term, chronic conditions and those with new and acute issues."

At Highgrove Clinic, patients can expect the highest quality service and thorough examinations.

"An initial appointment with us at Highgrove clinic includes a full case history, examination and some treatment should it be appropriate. We use Orthopaedic testing and movement assessment to help identify the issue our patients present with and discuss all our findings and treatment plans as we go.

"Our Osteopaths use touch, physical manipulation, stretching and massage to increase the mobility of joints, to relieve muscle tension, to enhance the blood and nerve supply to tissues, and to help the body’s own healing mechanisms. They may also provide advice on posture and exercise to aid recovery, promote health and prevent symptoms recurring."

Highgrove Clinic are one of the fourteen Allied Health Professions recognised by the NHS. As private healthcare professionals, they often have a shorter waiting time than that of physiotherapy.

"We treat holistically, taking all your health issues into consideration. We can refer you back to your GP for further help, should it be required. We can also refer privately for some investigations as needed."

Osteopathy can be used to treat most forms of muskulo-skeletal pain, from necks to backs, and wrists to ankles and in the UK, Osteopathy is a health profession regulated by UK law.

Highgrove Clinic's aim is always to get their patients back to functioning with better movement and less pain.

"Osteopathy is all about managing your condition and moving forward to a place of pain reduction and an understanding of your body’s needs.

"Whatever life throws at you, we work hard to get you back to doing whatever it is you love. Whether that’s bowls, horse riding, running a marathon or just getting out to walk your dog, we will work with you to achieve your goals."
