THE Icescape is returning to Weston-super-Mare this winter, North Somerset Council announced.
The Tropicana will host the attraction from November 1, 2024, to January 5, 2025.
The venue will have space for 400 skaters with several sessions running throughout each day.
A message from North Somerset Council read: “Exciting news to start the week - Icescape is returning to Weston this winter.
“Tropicana Weston will once again host the festive attraction from Friday, November 1, until Sunday, January 5 2025, after we reached an agreement with Icescape Tropicana.
“There’ll be space for 400 skaters in each 45-minute skate session on the huge outdoor, covered ice rink.
“Various sessions will run throughout each day. These include the popular Parent and Toddler, Quiet, Disco and Skate & Donate sessions.
“Other activities will also be running, including festive food and drink stalls.
“We've got exciting plans for the Tropicana as part of our programme to improve Weston, made possible thanks to our successful bid for £20m funding from the UK government.
“We've worked hard to be able to accommodate Icescape this winter, and surveys and preparation work are set to continue without causing any delay to the overall project.”
Tickets go on sale beginning of October. If you book online at least the day before your skate you will benefit from an online saver price and free parking along the seafront.
Those who book your tickets before the end of October you can also take advantage of an Early Bird offer of 20 per cent off.
Jamie Dann, Icescape operations director, said: “We have so many different skate session offerings available this year and there is something for every skater.
"Icescape Tropicana is now a Christmas tradition for so many friends and families in the South West, it is great to be back again this winter.”
