BUILDING works will be carried out at a leisure centre in Weston-super-Mare which will also include the closure of some facilities.

Hutton Moor Leisure Centre said works will take place to replace the sports hall roof and some changing areas.

A message shared by the leisure centre on Facebook read: “Over the coming months the centre will see building work improvements which include; major replacement of the sports hall roof and roof coverings for the fitness plant room, studio 3 and dryside changing areas.

“However, this does mean some disruptions whilst these essential works are carried out which are detailed here:

“Sports Hall - Our Sports Hall will be closed from Monday, October 7 for five weeks whilst the replacement roof building work is being completed.

“Pre-booked weekend major events will be taking place as planned.

“Ladies/Mens Dryside Changing rooms - These will be closed from Monday, October 7, to Wednesday, October 9, the toilets will be open as normal, and you are welcome to use our wet side changing rooms and showers whilst these are closed.

“We will update our social media pages if any of these dates change, we thank you for your patience and understanding, without these closures these improvements could not take.”
