A WELL-DECORATED and award-winning pub near Weston has been noted as being one of the best pubs in Britain.

The Crossways Inn in West Huntspill, Somerset, won the 2024 CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) South-West Regional Pub of the Year award.

Situated just a 25-minute drive away from the town centre of Weston Super-Mare, you’ll find the 17th-century pub which ranks within Daily Mail’s top 100 best pubs in Britain.

Sitting pretty on the Somerset Levels, this family-run coaching inn - with a four-star B&B next door - made The Campaign for Real Ale’s latest ‘Best UK Pubs’ list in the whole of the UK.

Prices at the pub are “ever-changing” with a pint of Dartmoor Jail Ale, by Dartmoor Brewery setting you back £4.75.

If thinking of trying out some of the food, you’ll be happy to know that the pub says that you can enjoy home-cooked local produce.

Pub locals describe the brewery as a “beer lover’s nirvana”, there are up to 25 guest cask ales per week, plus plenty of cider options available too.

Dogs are allowed in the pub but they aren’t allowed in on Friday or Saturday nights.

Landlord Steve Dean said he “is highly delighted by this award which he dedicates to all his staff and family who have made this possible.”
