A ROAD near the M5 has reopened after a police investigation into a “serious collision” which took place yesterday night (Tuesday, September 10).
Officers were on the scene of the collision on the A370 in Hewish, near Weston-super-Mare, at around 10.20pm.
The road between the M5 Junction 21 roundabout and Congresbury was closed overnight and reopened this morning.
Avon and Somerset Police are now asking the public to come forward if they have relevant footage or information.

A spokesperson for the force said: "Officers were called at around 10.20pm following a report of a serious collision on the A370 in Hewish, near Weston-super-Mare, yesterday (Tuesday 10 September).
"The road was closed overnight and remains closed between the M5 Junction 21 roundabout to Congresbury while officers carry out a full investigation of the scene.
"We are asking motorists to seek alternative routes and to allow for extra time when planning their journey.
