WORLE'S Warrior Gym is backing The Valley Kings Foundation, a charity helping impoverished children in Egypt.

Head coach Dean Lewis has said the gym fully backs the initiative and will continue to help their cause.

He explained: "Through the boxing club's support, the charity hosts dedicated boxing events and donates all proceeds and donations to the children's charity, The Valley Kings Foundation.

"Warrior Gym, home to Weston Warriors Amateur Boxing Club based in Worle industrial estate, Coker road, Worle, Weston-super-Mare has facilitated a steady flow of financial support for Valley Kings Gym, enabling the sustainability of free activities for the most vulnerable children in Egypt."

Mr Lewis also said: "The standard of living in Egypt is extremely low, leading to poor life outcomes, socio-economic conditions, and life expectancy."

The Warrior Gym holds The Valley Kings Foundation's efforts in high regard and maintains a commitment to back its work globally.

The work of Valley Kings Foundation is primarily centred around using youth boxing training and assorted sports to incite positive physical and mental health changes.

Mr Lewis elaborated on Warrior Gym's growth, saying: "Warrior Gym has grown over the years we are now able to continue to share our success and support other organisations and charities, we also continue to raise funds to enable our club to continue to grow.

"At the heart of The Valley Kings Foundation's mission is the use of youth boxing training and other sports as platforms to promote both physical and mental health.

"The foundation believes in the transformative power of sports in empowering youth and improving their overall well-being."

The Valley Kings Foundation, which started following the success of the Egypt Valley Kings Project launched in 2021, provides free training at the gym for vulnerable children aged 4 to 18.
