THE Grand Pier in Weston-super-Mare has been recently thanked for its generosity after donating 60 boxes of food to help families in the area.
Last week, Weston-super-Mare’s Pier staff hand-delivered a range of nutritious and delicious food items to the local food bank, including a range of green vegetables, vegetable tarts, and tomato, olive, and red pepper pâté, to name a few.
Over 60 boxes of food items were delivered in total, a number that shows the Pier’s support to the local community.
It is hoped that the contribution will help prevent local families from going without.
This donation comes at a crucial time when many families face financial hardships and food insecurity.
Tim Moyle, director of The Grand Pier, said: "We believe in giving back to the community that has supported us for so many years.
"This donation is just one way we can show our appreciation and support."
The Weston-super-Mare foodbank plays a vital role in providing emergency food supplies to individuals and families in crisis.
The generous donation from The Grand Pier will help replenish their stock and enable them to continue their critical work.
