THE organisers of a popular race in Weston-super-Mare are asking the public to “prepare for the electrifying return” of the event’s 41st edition.

Weston Beach Race will take place on the town’s seafront from October 11 to October 13, 2024.

A message from the organisers read: “Prepare for the electrifying return of the 41st Weston Beach Race, back at the iconic Weston-super-Mare seafront, from October 11 to 13, 2024.

“In this upcoming edition, we're injecting even more thrills, heart-pounding action, and unforgettable moments, with some exciting changes and announcements lined up for 2024.

“As we mark a new decade in the Beach Race's legacy, we also celebrate 41 years of unwavering dedication to delivering top-tier excitement and action.”

Last year’s edition of the event won the 2023 National Outdoor Events Association (NOEA) Awards, held on November 22nd.

Among esteemed contenders like Eurovision and The Royal Bath and West Show, Weston Beach Race claimed the prestigious ‘Event of the Year – Private Sector’ award.

Judges emphasized the intense competition across categories and praised the record-breaking number of high-quality submissions, marking this year as the largest in the event's history.
