A COMMUNITY gym in Worle is set to host its annual family fun day this weekend.

Residents are invited to WorleFest at the @Worle Community Charity Gym this Saturday (June 1) on 58 New Bristol Road. The event, which has been designed to "bring the community together", will take place from 10.30am to 6.30pm.

Attendees will be able to enjoy live music, dance performances, a football tournament and more.

A spokesperson from the centre said: "Worle Fest was launched eight years ago at @Worle Community Charity Gym, the event was initially our summer party where we brought all users of the centre together to thank them for supporting us.

"The day encourages our vision as a centre to bring the community together, shopping locally as it were for all levels of entertainment, raising funds for the centre and other charities such as Worle Lions.

"This year's event is on Saturday, June 1 starting at 10.30am – 6.30pm where we will host a full family day including FMC circus show and workshop, Action Pussy Cat and Rory the T rex, Grass root and adult football tournament run by South West Minis, Inspire dance performances and Disney princess, face painting, music support from Wave Radio and live music from Ben McCollum and the Missing Cat Trio.

"There will be a large range of assault inflatables and circus bouncy castles courtesy of Aw Inflatables, local food and drinks vendors including our lounge café and licenced bar, The Nut Tree and ice cream, desserts from Memory Lane ice cream.
