WESTON swimmers have been warned against diving into the Marine Lake after a person sustained a head injury earlier this week (Monday, May 20).
Locals who are wanting to enjoy the sunshine are urged to "be careful" of the hidden concrete ledge which runs around the outside.
The person who was injured received treatment at The Cove.
Speaking yesterday, a spokesperson from Weston's RNLI team said: "If you're loving the sun and decide to go for a dip in Marine Lake please be careful.
"Don't dive in! There is a hidden concrete ledge all the way around the outside.
"Someone sustained a head injury this morning doing just that (they are fine now following treatment at The Cove) but it could have been so much worse."
