Home Instead, a Weston-based home care company, will host an exhibition of support services for older people, or those requiring care and support in the community.

The Health Care Information Day is scheduled for Friday, June 14 and will showcase local companies and charities.

It includes The Alzheimer’s Society, Community Connect, Community Meals on Wheels and Age UK, among others.

Managing director of Home Instead, Mike Keig said: "The aim of the event is to help people discover products and services available in their local area to help make their lives easier and keep them independently living at home.

"Each time we run this event it gets bigger and better than the previous one, so we have very high hopes for this year.

"We have a fantastic variety of local companies coming along, this is really such a valuable event for people in our community.

"We are hoping for a great turnout."

The exhibition will be held at Weston Library, which is notably accessible for wheelchair users.

Attendance is free, with the Home Instead team available to assist visitors.

The Health Care Information Day runs from 10am to 1pm.
