A musical inspired by the Netflix television series Stranger Things is coming to The Playhouse Theatre this summer.

The award-winning parody, Stranger Sings, reimagines the hit show with humour, wit and a dash of nostalgia.

Originally an off-Broadway success, the show already enjoyed a UK debut in London before embarking on a nationwide tour.

Now, the musical is set to grace the stage of The Playhouse Theatre in Weston-super-Mare on May 10.

With writing by Jonathan Hogue, it promises a fun night filled with pop culture references, synth music and unexpected twists.

Taking liberties with the '80s supernatural genre, the musical features plenty of throwbacks and even some feminist overtones.

The production is directed by Ellis Kerkhoven and choreographed by Lucinda Lawrence with costumes designed by Ellie Farrow.

Stranger Sings is produced by The Vaults and was co-directed by Madeleine MacMahon, with musical supervision from Adam Gerber.

For those wishing to immerse themselves in the story of Eleven and her friends, with a side of laughter, tickets are available now.
