RESIDENTS in and around the Bournville Estate are being urged to check their bins and gardens for any knives after an arrest was made earlier today (Tuesday, April 30).
An incident took place this morning which involved a knife. Police have made an arrest and have reassured the public that there is "no ongoing risk."
If you live near Stonebridge Road, Downside Road, Argyle Avenue and Lonsdale Avenue, you are encouraged to keep an eye out for any discarded knives.
A North Somerset Neighbourhood Policing spokesperson said: "This morning, Tuesday, April 30, an incident occurred which was reported to involve a knife. A person was arrested and there is no ongoing risk to the public.
"If you are a resident of Stonebridge Road, Downside Road, Argyle Avenue and Lonsdale Avenue (around those roads) please can you check your bins and gardens for any knives.
"If you find any items, please call 101 and quote log AS-20240430-0285."
