AN Elvis and Dolly Parton tribute night are amongst the events happening in Weston this weekend.

The show begins at 7pm tonight at The Royal Hotel.

Other highlights will include a free concert by Dave James and Isax quartet at All Saints Church and live music by Blue Horizon, to name a couple.

Outlining the main events happening this week, a Visit Weston-super-Mare spokesperson said: "Hands up who is ready for another busy weekend here in Weston-super-Mare because we have got some super suggestions of things you can do.

"It all starts from 7pm tonight, Friday, at The Royal Hotel Weston-super-Mare with an Elvis and Dolly Parton tribute night. Advance booking is recommended to ensure your place.

"Then, on Saturday and Sunday, providing the weather conditions are favourable for them, the Blokarters from Weston Blokart Club and Weston Windsport will be racing their karts across the sand at the South end of Weston Beach. They are hoping to start at around 11am on both days.

"You might also want to grab your cameras for the Military History Weekend happening on Saturday and Sunday at The Helicopter Museum (Official).

"There's two chances to join a quilled paper flower making workshop at Weston Museum on Saturday with sessions at 10am and 12pm, priced at £15.

"Also on Saturday, at 3pm, there is a free concert by Dave James and Isax quartet at All Saints Church.

"Comedy is on the agenda on Saturday evening at 7.30pm when the Front Room WSM opens its doors for the I Don't Have a Maths GCSE show.

"And to see out the weekend, Blue Horizon are providing the live music at The Regency pub from 4pm on Sunday."
