THE husband and wife team behind Weston's new Little Town Adventures business have said that they "could not be more excited" to be up and running.
Located on Beach Road, the town's immersive play experience is set to open its doors this May.
Little Town Adventures will be a miniature recreation of the town and will include many of its iconic features, including The Grand Pier.
The buildings will be up to five metres high and will have multiple storeys so that children can explore both the lower and upper floors.
The experience will come complete with actors, scripts, music, and immersive effects.
Tom and Laura Filer own and operate award-winning soft play venues across the South West and the Midlands.
Speaking about the Weston branch, Laura said: "We could not be more excited to be launching our next innovative leisure venue in Weston-super-Mare and are this time bringing a world-first play concept to market following the success of our multi-award-winning Ocean and Space Adventurers venues.
“The combination of role play, theatre, and escape room-style activities enhances cognitive development, social skills, and creativity, making it an exciting, truly holistic and educational adventure for children.
“Little Town Adventures will be an innovative fully immersive miniature Weston-super-Mare putting learning and fun at the centre of the experience."
The experience will be perfect for children aged two to eight years old.
Dozens of different scripts have been written by a specialist theatrical company to help engage the children.
Live actors will be on hand to bring the stories to life.
Laura and Tom founded the Family Adventures Group in 2019.
The organisation's website explains further: "Family Adventures Group was founded in 2019 by Tom Filer and Laura Filer – husband and wife duo who understood the traditional negative connotations and frustrations, typically associated with soft plays.
"Once they became parents and started taking their eldest daughter (who at the time was 18 months old) to these venues, they realised there was a significant gap in the market for high quality, fun, educational, clean indoor play venues which could be enjoyed by both children and adults alike… and so they set out to make this happen and Ocean Adventurers was born!
"The journey that follows has included rapid expansion to now include a group with includes both indoor play venues but also our multi-award-winning Little Adventures Nurseries & Pre-School Group."
