A RAFFLE is being held this week to raise money for a vital service which helps children in need.
A coffee morning and raffle will be held at Weston's Madeira Court on Thursday, March 21, from 10.30am.
Visitors to the Knightstone Road complex will be in for a chance to win a variety of raffle prizes, many of which have been donated by local businesses. One prize will include a gift voucher donated by Wiltshire Farm Foods.
Madeira Court, a retirement complex, is operated by FirstPort.
The proceeds raised will be donated to the Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), which helps children and young people with complex illnesses.
GOSH's website reads: "Every day, around 750 seriously ill children and young people are seen at Great Ormond Street Hospital from all over the UK.
"Every day, young lives hang in the balance as patients, families and staff battle the most complex illnesses.
"Every day, the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs that change the lives of thousands of children – and change the world."
