OUTLINE planning permission is being sought to construct two agricultural workers dwellings on land at Winscombe's Nut Tree Farm.
The application, which was validated on February 13, reads: "Outline planning application for the proposed development of 2no. agricultural workers dwellings on land at Nut Tree Farm with access for approval; appearance, landscaping, layout and scale reserved for subsequent approval."
The planning statement, prepared by Greenslade Taylor Hunt on behalf of FE Body and Son Ltd, explains further: "The proposal seeks outline planning consent for the erection of two agricultural workers dwellings on land at Nut Tree Farm in Barton, Winscombe. The application is made in outline with all matters reserved save for the proposed access.
"Access to the farm workers dwellings would be from the existing agricultural access onto Barton Road. The farm track provides quick and easy access to the wider farm holding and buildings. The remainder of the field would be used for cattle grazing.
"Whilst detailed floor plans and elevations are to be saved for reserved matters approval, the applicant envisages the construction of two detached bungalows to be in keeping with the surrounding character of the area and the established pattern of development.
"There is ample space within the proposed development site for the construction of the two dwellings, space for parking and turning, private garden areas and landscaping."
