A RESTAURANT which operates out of one of the oldest buildings in Weston has been praised for offering delicious healthy dishes.
The Old Thatched Cottage, the last surviving thatched house in the town, has been listed in OpenTable UK & Ireland's Top 100 Restaurants with Healthy Bites.
The Knightstone Road establishment was originally built in 1791 as a holiday home for Reverend William Leeves, a soldier and musician/composer.
A spokesperson from the business said: "We're really proud to have been listed in OpenTable UK & Ireland's Top 100 Restaurants with Healthy Bites, as voted by over 1.2M diners across the UK!
"We're listed alongside some brilliant restaurants all over the country, and this recognition highlights the things we're so passionate about...
"Serving up tasty dishes created using only the freshest, best quality ingredients.
"Supporting local growers, farmers and suppliers as much as possible.
"Freshly cooking all of our dishes using recipes that have been passed down through our family for over 65 years!
"Huge thank you to everyone for your votes, but mostly for continuing to support our family restaurant - we hope to see you soon!"
