Mayor of Weston to discuss police priorities with crime commissioner

The meeting, which will take place within the next few days, will also give the mayor the chance to express residents' feedback.

The mayor has set up a survey so that local people can give their opinions. Individuals are urged not to post anything political or to give personal details on the form.

As well as areas to improve, positive feedback is also very much welcome.

After the meeting, the survey and the details within it will be deleted.

Cllr Cronnelly said: "In my capacity as the Mayor of Weston-super-Mare I will be meeting the Avon & Somerset Police and Crime Commissioner in the next few days to discuss the police's priorities for our area and provide feedback about the concerns of residents (as well as positive feedback).

"I know from various conversations with residents and your local councillors about what I feel are the general areas of priority for the police locally but it's always good to double check my understanding about local thoughts and concerns, so with that in mind:
